Midscale hotel chain’s updated look to debut in 2012

AmericInn has started work on a new brand prototype in Fairfield, Iowa. The three-story hotel will feature an open-lobby concept and 64 contemporary guest rooms and suites when it opens in March 2012.

“We are very pleased to introduce this exciting new concept for AmericInn, which is designed to serve the needs and expectations of today’s sophisticated travelers and also positions us for accelerated growth nationwide,” said Paul Kirwin, president and CEO of AmericInn.

The hotel’s lobby will feature a beverage bar and breakfast dining area that developers say is designed to foster social interaction throughout the day. Other amenities at the hotel will include an indoor pool, a business center and a meeting room.

The prototype will also feature a variety of energy-conservation features. “This includes motion-monitoring energy management systems in all guestrooms, high-efficiency windows, energy-efficient construction and interior placement of the swimming pool to retain heat,” said Dave Harchako, general partner with Apollo Development, the AmericInn franchise developing the hotel.

AmericInn is a midscale hotel chain with more than 260 locations open or under development in 27 states. The brand is a unit of Northcott Hospitality, an owner and developer of franchised hospitality brands.
