Cruising is back in style. The U.K.'s Ocean Shipping Consultants Ltd. predicts the number of annual passengers taking cruises will double by 2020, reaching the 27 million mark. Not surprisingly, ship orders are on the rise as fleets prepare to absorb growing demand. Silversea Cruises, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will launch its first luxury expedition ship, the Prince Albert II, in June. Currently under construction at Fincantieri's Ancona shipyard is the 540-guest, all-suite Silver Spirit, scheduled to join the fleet in December 2009. Italian architect Giacomo Mortola is overseeing the vessel's design.
