HIRINGS/PROMOTIONS/RETIREMENTS
Architecture and interior design firms BBG-BBGM have promoted the following: Clark Anderson, to principal at their Scottsdale office; Stephen Luk and Tony Machado, to senior associates in New York; and Daphne Wu, to business development manager in Shanghai.
EcoGreenHotel, a sustainability consultant for lodging properties, has hired Mark Hahn as vice president of energy solutions.
OSRAM SYLVANIA has named Tom Shottes senior vice president of its new professional lighting solid state lighting and light management system groups. Shottes will be succeeded as ceo of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Inc. by Don Klase.
Charles “Chuck” Marshall, founder and chairman of Marshall Hotels & Resorts will retire on July 1, the 30th anniversary of the company's founding. Marshall will serve as the firm's chairman emeritus.

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has signed management agreements for three additional Andaz properties: A 183-room locale Sanya Sunny Bay, China; a 323-key hotel in Delhi, India; and a 170-room property in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
Accor has reopened the refurbished, 610-room Novotel Amsterdam City, Netherlands.
Davidson Hotel Co. has been hired to manage the 367-suite Embassy Suites Chicago-Downtown in Illinois. It is the first hotel Davidson will manage on behalf of Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc., a real estate investment trust.
Ablon Group Ltd., a real estate owner and developer in central and eastern Europe, has opened its first hotel development in Budapest, the 235-key Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center.
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and InterMountain Management LLC have opened the 160-room Hyatt Place Seattle/Downtown, the first member of that flag in Washington state.

ACQUISITIONS
Pebblebrook Hotel Trust has acquired the 269-room Doubletree Bethesda Hotel and Executive Meeting Center in Bethesda, Md., for $67.1 million.
Fairwood Capital LLC, a real estate investment firm focused on hospitality assets, has acquired the 119-room Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Downtown from a partnership led by Memphis-based Cooper Hotels for an undisclosed price.

Leora Halpern Lanz, HVS'director of marketing and head of its sales and marketing services division, has been named Sales & Marketing Executive of the Year–Tourism, by the Greater New York Chapter of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.
