Australian Crowne Plaza to Debut in 2011

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has unveiled plans to manage the first international hotel in Doncaster, an inner suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The 150-room Crowne Plaza Doncaster Hill is slated to open in 2011.

"IHG has identified Melbourne as a primary city with opportunity for continued growth across all our brands," said Todd Wynne-Parry, IHG's director of development Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific. There are currently 15 Crowne Plaza hotels in Australia and over 330 worldwide. The brand's development pipeline consists of more than 130 new hotels.
