LodgeWorks is poised to enter the boutique market, by rolling out four new AVIA hotels during 2009. The first AVIA will open in Savannah, Ga., in January, followed by two properties in California (Napa and Long Beach) in the summer and one near Houston in the fall. The upscale hotels will have 70-160 rooms, two restaurants and meeting facilities for small to mid-sized conferences and special events. LodgeWorks is a Wichita, Kan.-based hotel development and management company.
