Six others vie for best new restaurant award

These three restaurants have been nominated for outstanding restaurant design by the James Beard Foundation:
* Choice Market in Brooklyn, N.Y., designed by Evan Douglis Studio
* PieLab, in Greensboro, Ala., designed by Project M
* The Wright (shown), at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
This category recognizes the best restaurant design or renovation to open in North America since 2007. The foundation also announced that the following six restaurants are in the running for best new restaurant to open in North America in 2009:
* Bibou, Philadelphia
* Flour + Water, San Francisco
* Frances, San Francisco
* Locanda Verde, New York
* Marea, New York
* RN74, San Francisco
Winners in both categories will be unveiled on May 3 at a banquet in New York. The awards are named in honor of Beard, a renowned chef and food writer.
