Las Vegas resort undergoing $70 million upgrade
The Bellagio resort in Las Vegas has taken the wraps off the first phase of its newly redesigned rooms. The updated interiors, created by owner MGM Resorts International’s in-house design group, feature a trio of distinct color palettes.
The Bellagio’s Resort King Rooms sport either an indigo and silver combination or a green tea and plum palette, while the Resort Queen Rooms are home to an amber and butterscotch motif. Serving as a centerpiece for the new rooms are dressers and connecting mirrored wardrobes made of a deep, rich eucalyptus topped with a marshmallow smoke stone. The resort’s three color schemes are also incorporated in botanical macro-photographic images on the walls of the guest rooms and the hallways.
“We want guests to feel inspired from the moment they step off the elevator,” said Randy Morton, president and chief operating officer of Bellagio. "The incredible combination of vibrant, yet warm, colors, beautiful botanical imagery and the overall crisp ambiance should set the tone for a very special experience.”
Bellagio began the $70 million remodel in June and expects all 2,568 Resort Rooms in the main tower will be complete by mid-December.
