Bliss Spa, which currently has 13 locations worldwide, has set its sights on having 25 properties around the world by 2011. The chain's plans include spas in upcoming W Hotels in Barcelona, Spain, South Beach, Fla., Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Dubai. (Ten of the current Bliss spas are in W Hotels, the result of a collaboration between the two companies that began in 2004.)
"With the opening of Bliss spas at international W Hotels, we'll be able to extend the unique spa escape W guests have grown to love stateside to a global audience," said Bliss president Richard Dantas. "In addition, cosmopolitan locals will now have access to our popular beauty maintenance treatments closer to home."
Bliss' recent U.S. openings include locales in W Hotels in Atlanta, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Hoboken, N.J. New York-based Bliss made its Asian debut last year with the opening of spa at W Hong Kong, and recently entered the Middle East with a spa in the new W Doha in Qatar.
