Julio Cesar Chavez Campeones (Champions), a 30,000-square-foot boxing-themed restaurant and entertainment venue, opens today in Mesa, Ariz. "The grand opening of Julio Cesar Chavez Campeones is a special moment for me," said Chavez, a six-time world boxing champion and one of Mexico's most celebrated athletes. "It's very gratifying to have the opportunity to open a place that the Hispanic community can be proud of."

The $4.5 million complex includes a Mexican restaurant, a sports bar, a World Boxing Council (WBC) Legends of Boxing Museum and an events center for concerts, boxing matches, quinceaneras and community events. Brian Weymouth, Chavez's agent and business partner in the restaurant/entertainment complex, said the venue is projecting revenues of $7-$10 million in its first year of operation.
