Partners open kibo Japanese Grill in NYC
BR Guest Hospitality and celebrity chef Joel Robuchon have opened the kibo Japanese Grill in New York City. Kibo is the first partnership between New York-based BR Guest, which is run by restaurateur Stephen Hanson, and the acclaimed French chef, who is the recipient of the most Michelin stars in the world and serves as the culinary consultant for the new restaurant.
“Joel Robuchon is the chef of the century, and to be able to bring his culinary mastery to our guests is a once in a lifetime opportunity," said Stephen Hanson, president and founder of BR Guest Hospitality, which operates restaurants under several flags, including Atlantic Grill, Bill’s, Dos Caminos, Wildwood BBQ and Ruby Foo’s.
Kibo’s look was created by Tara Oxley, BR Guest’s in-house design director, in a space that was previously home to the Japonais restaurant.
