Submissions for seminars, keynote addresses due by June 1
Interested in speaking at this year’s BDNY Educational Forum? The editors of Boutique Design, a sister publication of Hospitality Style, are accepting submissions from industry innovators who’d like to participate in panel discussions or deliver a keynote presentation during the second annual BDNY, Nov. 13-14, 2011, at the Javits Center North.
To be considered, please send a proposal for a session topic and how you would address it. E-mail your submission to Boutique Design editor Matthew Hall at matthew.hall@stmediagroup.com, and please include:
* The speaker’s name, title and organization.
* Proposed title of the presentation.
* An overview of the topic, including a list of talking points to cover.
* A description of the type of visuals that would accompany the presentation. (Visuals are very important.)
* A description of why this topic is of interest to BDNY’s specific market: in-house and contract hospitality designers, as well as owners and operators of boutique properties.
If you have video, audio and/or a list of references that demonstrate your speaking experience, please submit them, as well.
All proposals must be received by June 1, 2011. After that, Boutique Design's editorial staff will choose sessions based on content, industry relevance, presentation approach and “buzzworthiness,” as well as how the proposed session would fit with the rest of the program.
Of particular interested are hospitality designers willing to share their recent design challenges as a case study for our attendees. Design firms wishing to present case studies should co-present with a representative from the hospitality brand—please include co-speaker names in your proposal.
If you have any questions, please contact Matthew Hall at matthew.hall@stmediagroup.com.
