Sánchez launches Mestizo near Kansas City

Celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez has launched Mexican restaurant concept Mestizo in a suburb of Kansas City., Mo., in collaboration with Trifecta Management Group (TMG). The 7,200-sq.-ft. restaurant in Leawood  features high ceilings, stone accent walls and two outdoor dining areas, and serves a custom menu with dishes authentic to the Yucatan, Pueblo or Veracruz regions of Mexico.

Sánchez, who is best known from the Food Network’s “Chopped” and “Heat Seekers” TV shows, is the owner and executive chef of New York’s Centrico restaurant. He also worked with New York’s Tacombi Tacqueria, and teamed up with TMG to rebrand the House of Blues restaurant concept, Crossroads.

TMG provides concepts and management services to the restaurant/retail entertainment industries. The company manages venues in Ohio, Florida, Minnesota, Virginia, Kansas and California; and its custom restaurant concepts include The Corner Alley, 4th Street Bar & Grill and Pizzeria Villagio.
