Country Inns & Suites By Carlson is upgrading the equipment and décor of the fitness centers within its 465-plus hotels in the Americas. The company has announced plans to install a new generation of fitness equipment from Nautilus Inc. and Life Fitness at the fitness centers over the next four years. In addition, it is rolling out a new interior design for the exercise rooms that includes black rubberized floors for added shock absorbency, a decorative splash wall with accent colors and modular framed art, and black or stainless steel convenience accessories.

"Because fitness centers are among the top five hotel amenities that guests deem important when choosing their hotel, we want to ensure consistent, high quality equipment at every property," said Jim Grimshaw, senior director, brand program development and standards for Country Inns & Suites By Carlson.
