Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Star will be docked in North Vancouver. B.C., for the duration of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, adding its 1,200 staterooms to the host city's existing downtown hotel inventory of about 12,000 rooms.
The ship was chartered for the Vancouver stay by Newwest Special Projects LP. "Through Newwest's charter, Norwegian Star will offer unique accommodations for thousands of guests attending the Winter Games," said Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line's executive vice president of global sales and passenger services.
