Partnership with CMR calls for 37-plus restaurants
Darden Restaurants Inc. has entered into a formal area development agreement with CMR to develop and operate Red Lobster, Olive Garden and The Capital Grille brands in Mexico. The company will develop a minimum of 37 restaurants in a five year period.
"With its growing middle class and strong affinity for American brands, Mexico is an attractive growth market for Darden," says Kim Lopdrup, Darden’s senior vice president of business development.
CMR is a casual dining company, with more than 100 restaurants in 26 cities throughout Mexico and operates company-owned and franchised locales including Fonda Mexicana, Destilería, Elago and Chili's.
