ForrestPerkins, an international architecture and interior design firm, has hired Trish Donnally as its director of communications. She was most recently editor-in-chief of Washington Spaces magazine.
Iggy Olsson-Cuba and Zeke Fernandez, two Miami-based designers who have collaborated in the past, joined forces to launch Cuba-Fernandez Design. The full-service interior design firm specializes in hospitality, residential and commercial design.

Davidson Hotel Co. will manage the 240-room B Ocean Fort Lauderdale in Florida. The hotel will be the newly launched B Hotels & Resorts' first property.
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts opened The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico, its first St. Regis resort in the Caribbean.
The Lakeside Grill will open at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort in November. The restaurant, which will be located in space that formerly housed the Daniel Boulud Brasserie, will be executive chef David Walzog's second restaurant at the resort.
The Hooters restaurant chain has opened its first locale in Japan, in Tokyo's Akasaka district. The company plans to open 11 more restaurants by the end of the year in such countries as Germany, Wales, Ecuador and Spain.
AmericInn mid-scale hotel company acquired the 78-room Holiday Inn in Fishers, Ind., for an undisclosed amount. The company will renovate and rebrand the hotel as AmericInn Hotel & Suites Indianapolis- Northeast.
Winery owner William P. Foley II and David B Fink, founder and ceo of Mirabel Hotel & Restaurant Group, purchased the Hotel Les Mars in partnership for an undisclosed price. Mirabel Hotel & Restaurant Group will manage the 16-room Relais & Chateaux member luxury hotel in Healdsburg, Calif.
Real estate development firm Concord Eastridge has completed The Mason Inn on George Mason University's campus in Fairfax, Va. The 148-key hotel/conference center was named Mid-Atlantic Construction magazine's project of the year in the multifamily residential/hospitality category.
HELPING OUT
Royal Caribbean Cruises completed the L'Ecole Nouvelle Royal Caribbean primary school in Haiti. The 6,500 sq. ft. property is one of the first schools to be built following the January 2010 earthquake.
Architectural Systems Inc. (ASI) worked with DPM Architecture in the renovation of the cancer wing at St. Joeseph's Children's Hospital in Patterson, N.J. ASI provided wood panels and wall tile for the wing's day-treatment room. The renovation was undertaken as part of LXTVs “George to the Rescue” TV show, which stages the renovation of homes and institutions for families in need.
