Chain opens 9,000-sq.-ft locale in Inner Harbor
The Dick's Last Resort restaurant chain has opened its eighth outlet, in Baltimore's Inner Harbor entertainment district. The 9,000-sq.-ft. restaurant, which features indoor and patio seating, along with a soon-to-be-constructed dock on the pier, is located in the Power Plant, a mixed-use project that also houses a Hard Rock Café and a Barnes & Noble bookstore.
The 25-year-old restaurant concept is built around “service with an attitude,” the company says. That in-your-face attitude is reflected in the comments Ted Moats, ceo of chain owner DLR Restaurants LLC, made about the opening of the Baltimore locale: “We can't wait to be known as the scowling, beach-shirt clad, beer-drinking neighbor that moves in down the street that the whole neighborhood grows to love.”
All Dick's Last Resorts are owned by Nashville-based DLR; the others are in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, San Antonio and San Diego.
