Disney Cruise Line announced that the Disney Wonder will get a new, 2,500 square-foot Outdoor Café, in preparation for the vessel hosting the line's first-ever cruises to Alaska in 2011. The new venue will be located on the ship's top deck, and will feature floor-to-ceiling, curved glass windows designed to give passengers a clear view of the 50th U.S. state's natural beauty.
Disney says the 65-seat café's design will be “sophisticated with contemporary, art deco inspiration.” A spiral staircase will connect the new café with the existing Cove Café one deck below. The Outdoor Café will be built this fall, when the 2,400-passeger Wonder is in dry dock.
