Hilton flag to open new-build hotel in Aqaba
Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Jordan Maritime Complex for Real Estate Investments Co. for the Doubletree by Hilton, Aqaba, marking the brand's entry into Jordan. The 181-room, new-build property will open this fall in the resort destination of Aqaba, on Jordan's southern coast.
Mahmoud Mokhtar, vice president operations, Egypt & Levant for Hilton Worldwide, said Jordan is “an important market for us in our regional development strategy. We will soon be able to provide business and leisure travelers with group packages linking in all the country's tourist destinations.”
The new upscale, full-service hotel will feature five food and beverage outlets, a health club/spa and a multipurpose meeting room.
