Two new-build hotels to open Warsaw and Lodz in 2012

Hilton Worldwide has signed two franchise agreements to open its first Doubletree by Hilton hotels in Poland. The 347-key Doubletree by Hilton Warsaw Conference Centre and Spa will be operated by Polaris Hospitality Enterprises Sp.z.o.o and is slated to open in the second quarter of 2012, while the 200-room Doubletree by Hilton Lodz will be operated by Film Hotel Sp.z.o.o and is expected to open in by the end of 2012.
“Poland represents a substantial opportunity in the introduction of our portfolio of brands around the world,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president - development for Hilton Worldwide Europe and Africa. “We have dedicated significant development resources to Poland and I am delighted that we are now introducing Doubletree by Hilton to the market, starting with these two excellent properties.”
Doubletree currently has 12 hotels and resorts open in Europe, overall, the flag has 220-plus locales in 10 countries.
