EasyHotel Dubai, Jebel Ali, the budget hotel chain's first venture outside Europe, will open on Aug. 1. The six-story, 216-room hotel will be operated by Istithmar Budget Hotels FZE, an Istithmar World company, and is owned by Stelios Haji-Ioannou.

Andrew Jordan, Istithmar World's executive director – development the Dubai locale “represents a strategic step forward in their expansion plans. EasyHotel Dubai, Jebel Ali targets a clientele that demands exceptional value for money. We offer purpose-built hotel rooms at affordable rates and leave the decision on additional services solely in the hands of our guests, who are the best judges of what they need.”

The budget brand's ethos includes a “the earlier you book, the less you pay” philosophy, seasonal pricing, and a “no frills” approach to its services and pricing. Luggage storage, early check in, late check out, vended snacks and drinks and wi-fi internet access are available to guests at small additional charges.

EasyHotel currently consists of five London locations, as well as properties in Luton, Basel, Zurich, Budapest, Larnaka, Sofia and Berlin. Additional outlets are slated to open later this year in Edinburgh and Porto.
