London’s Boundary named Hotel of the Year

Top honors in the European Hotel Design Awards for 2009 went to the Boundary, which opened early this year in a converted Victorian warehouse Shoreditch, East London. The 12 guest rooms at the hotel feature environments inspired by legendary designers or design movements, including Charles and Ray Eames, Andree Putman and the Bauhaus movement.
Winners in the 12th annual competition were unveiled at a banquet in London held during The Sleep Event, a design-oriented conference and exhibition for the hotel industry. In addition to the Hotel of the Year honors given to the Boundary, other winners in the competition include:
