Kerzner International Holdings Ltd., a developer and operator of resorts, casinos and luxury hotels, has promoted Bonnie Biumi to president.
Preferred Hotel Group has named Lindsey Ueberroth president.
Andis Co. has named Matthew K. Andis president. He is the fourth generation of the Andis family to hold that post at the company, which manufactures handheld tools to trim, cut, curl, straighten and dry hair. Andis succeeds his father, Matthew L. Andis, who is now the company's chairman.
OPENINGS/RENOVATIONS/BRAND NEWS
Eventi, a Kimpton Hotel, has opened in New York's North Chelsea neighborhood. The 292-key hotel was designed by Colum McCartan.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has opened the following properties: The Romanos, a 321-key Luxury Collection Resort in Costa Navarino, Greece; the Aloft Winchester in Virginia, a 99-room property owned and managed by Hotel Squared; and the 290-room Sheraton Orlando Downtown in a former Marriott. In addition, the company announced plans to open the 244-key Westin Hamburg Hotel in Germany in 2012 under an agreement with Arabella Hospitality Group.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott at Notre Dame will open June 15 in South Bend, Ind. The 119-key hotel was built by White Lodging in partnership with Kite Realty Group.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened the 81-room Candlewood Suites San Antonio Northwest in Texas. The property is owned by NJS Properties LLC and managed by Jaysons Ltd. under a licensing agreement with IHG.
Choice Hotels International Inc. has opened a 127-suite Cambria Suites hotel in Roanoke, Va. The property is owned by Roanoke Hotel Group LLC.
California Pizza Kitchen Inc. has partnered with HMSHost Corp. to open a quick-serve location in the Honolulu International Airport in Hawaii.

Moz Designs has chosen the following three winners in its “Inspired by Moz” photo competition, which honors architects and designers for their unique and creative use of the company's decorative metals: First place: MVE Institutional Inc , for its Moz installation in the Ocean Grill at the Sandhu Dining Hall, Chapman College, Orange, Calif.; second place: WorthGroup Architects (Denver), for the 1832 Steakhouse, Choctaw Casino Resort, Durant, Okla.; and third place: Fugo de Chao Churrascaria (Scottsdale, Ariz.), for the Fugo de Chao Churrascaria Restaurant, Scottsdale, Ariz.
C. P. Krishnan Nair, chairman of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, has received the Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Environment Award from India's Environment Cell of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee.
