Will open in late 2014
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts will open the Fairmont Chengdu in China, as part of the Palm Springs International Centre development. The complex, which will open in the fourth quarter of 2014, will include a commercial office tower, two luxury residential towers and a retail mall.
Fairmont president Jennifer Fox says Chengdu “is one of the fastest growing cities in China, and we are excited to expand our presence in the country to the Western region.”
The luxury hotel will feature 375 guest rooms and 60 Fairmont Serviced Residences. Its other amenities include dining options, function space, a ballroom, the Willow Stream Spa and fitness and pool facilities.
Fairmont also plans to open locales in Jaipur, India and Makati, Philippines in 2012; Nanjing, China in 2013; and Taiyuan, China, and Jakarta, Indonesia in 2014.
