Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' first property in Egypt is in Cairo's Heliopolis district, which takes its name from the Greek word for city of the sun. As a result, designers from WATG infused the Fairmont Towers, Heliopolis, with sun-shaped designs throughout its guest rooms, function areas and the atrium shown here. In the foreground is a circular fountain surrounded by a corona-like pattern of in-floor LED panels, while in the background is a circular white pergola that includes 20-foot-high pillars.
