New Sense Spa to open next spring
The operators of Rosewood's Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh say they plan to open the female-only Sense Spa in that Saudi Arabian city, just ahead of the hotel's 10th anniversary in May 2010, Arabian Business magazine reports. The hotel is also adding a new wing with 106 guest rooms.
The Sense Spa will be the second female-only spa in the conservative Islamic country. Meantime, Park Hyatt is planning to open separate male and female spas in Jeddah at the end of the year, Arabian Business reports.
“Spas haven't been part of the lifestyle of people in Saudi,” Khaled Al Idrissi, the hotel's director of sales and marketing, told the magazine. “Now that's changing.”
