Five new cruise ships will be based at the Port Everglades docks in Greater Fort Lauderdale, Fla., starting next year. Officials at the world's third-busiest cruise ship port (it expects about 3.14 million cruise passengers to pass through its turnstiles in 2009) say the new boats that will call the sea port home are: Holland America's Eurodam, Celebrity Cruise Line's Celebrity Solstice, Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Splendor, Princess Cruises' Ruby Princess and Royal Caribbean International's Independence of the Seas.
