Bobby’s Burger Palace to open at U. of Md. housing complex
Celebrity chef Bobby Flay will open his sixth fast-causal burger restaurant in The Varsity, a new luxury student housing complex located adjacent to the University of Maryland campus in College Park, Md. The 3,500-sq.-ft. Bobby’s Burger Palace will open Sept. 1 on the complex’s street level.
“I'm thrilled to be opening Bobby's Burger Palace at The Varsity,” says Bobby Flay. “With the recent opening of BBP in Philadelphia, we are looking forward to continuing our expansion in the MidAtlantic region, especially in the heart of the thriving college community at the University of Maryland.”
The Varsity is a 901-bed student housing complex that’s slated to open in August. In addition to Flay’s eatery, several other retail stores and restaurants have taken space in the development, including Royal Farms and Looney's Pub.
