Starwood Hotels’ brand will open in financial district in 2013
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. said it will open a 264-key Four Points by Sheraton hotel in New York’s downtown financial district. The new-build hotel, slated to open in summer 2013 on Platt Street, is being developed by the Lam Group.
“The upcoming opening of our fourth Four Points hotel in New York demonstrates that the brand’s blend of comfort, style and affordability is resonating with travelers in key urban centers,” said Paul Sacco, Starwood’s senior vice president of North American development.
The new hotel reflects Starwood’s ongoing efforts to boost the profile of the Four Points flag; the company has invested $1 billion in renovations, conversions and new-build hotels for the 157-unit brand.
