Freeman to Take Reins at McCormick & Schmick's

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants Inc. has named William Freeman chief executive, effective Jan. 12. Freeman takes over management of the company's 85 namesake restaurants in the U.S. and six Boathouse restaurants in Canada from co-founder Douglas Schmick. Freeman was most recently president and chief executive of Fox Sports Grill, a six-unit casual-dining chain based in Westlake Village, Calif., which he founded under B&B Restaurant Ventures.
