Gaming complex features three luxury hotels
Galaxy Entertainment Group has opened its $2 billion casino resort in Macau, China. The complex includes 450 gaming tables and a trio of luxury hotels—operated by Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Okura Hotels & Resorts and Galaxy, respectively—with a total of 2,200 guest rooms.
The presence of those three high-profile hotels, along with such amenities as a white-sand beach, skytop wave pool, Banyan Tree Spa and more than 50 food-and-beverage outlets, has resulted in the creation of “a world-class, truly integrated destination resort with the type of holiday features that have not been previously offered on the market,” says Lui Che Woo, founder and chairman of Hong Kong-based Galaxy, which also operates the StarWorld Hotel and Casino and four City Club Casinos in Macau.
Macau, a special administrative region that allows casino gambling, is also home to Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s Venetian Macao resort, and several other major gaming companies—including Wynn Resorts and MGM Resorts—are planning developments in the district.
