Gauguin Shipper Gets New Leader

Paul Gauguin Shipping Ltd. has hired David Giersdorf as its acting president and ceo, as the company prepares to assume full operation of the Paul Gauguin cruise ship beginning in January 2010. Giersdorf, ceo of the Giersdorf Group, was previously president of Ambassadors Cruise Group, the parent company of Majestic America Line and Windstar Cruises. Paul Gauguin will operate under the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet through 2009 and then being operating independently.
