The Green T. House Living teahouse/restaurant/arts and cultural event center in Beijing is adding a Bath House Residence to its offerings on May 29. The residence was designed by JinR, the venue's founder, and marks her first foray into the spa and hospitality arena.
The bath house includes a large indoor green tea bath and an onsen-style rooftop Jacuzzi. It also features loft bedrooms, as well as traditional curtained four poster "emperor's beds" in an open living space. At the center of the space is a massive communal dining table, carved from a single tree trunk, and a large open fireplace. The residence also houses contemporary art space that can accommodate performing musicians or be used for group meetings.
JinR says the bath house reflects her goal of "presenting an authentic Chinese experience, but in a way that you've never imagined."
