66-story locale opening in December
Hard Rock International said its 66-story Hard Rock Hotel Panama Megapolis is slated to open in December in Panama City. The 1,499-key locale, Hard Rock’s 16th property and first in Latin America, is being developed and will be owned by Megapolis Investment Group, and will be managed by Decameron Hotels & Resorts.
In addition to the existing Hard Rock Cafe in the adjoining Multicentro Mall, the new hotel will offer eight food and beverage outlets, including an indoor/outdoor bar & club on the 62nd floor; a 7,800-sq. ft. Rock Spa, with 14 treatment rooms; a Rock Shop store; and 24,250 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space.
“We are proud to debut the Hard Rock Hotel brand in Latin America, a region with a rich musical culture,” said Michael Shindler, Hard Rock International’s executive vice president, hotels & casinos. “Both Megapolis Investment Group and Decameron Hotels & Resorts have strong experience in the region, which will be invaluable as we look to open our doors this year.”
