Nearly 500 new hotel guest rooms have come on line in the hard-hit Las Vegas market, with the opening of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's Paradise Tower some two months ahead of schedule. The rooms in the 18-story tower were designed by Mark Zeff, and "evoke visions of a rock 'n' roll manor house, using iconic materials like leather, wood and silver studded velvet," according to the company.
As for the timing of the Paradise Tower's opening, Hard Rock had this to say: the $750 million project "has created jobs and hope as the Las Vegas horizon begins to see signs of resurgence."
