Harrah's Cherokee Casino & Hotel in North Carolina announced it will be home to a 404-seat Paula Deen's Kitchen restaurant later this year. The new restaurant will feature a decor reminiscent of the celebrity chef's home and kitchen in Savannah, Ga. Next door will be an 1,800-square-foot retail shop offering Deen's lines of cooking merchandise.
"We are honored to welcome Paula Deen's Kitchen to Harrah's Cherokee Casino & Hotel. Her special style of cooking and Southern hospitality will be a perfect fit with our guests here in the Great Smoky Mountains," stated Darold Londo, senior vice president and general manager of the property.
The restaurant is part of a $633 million, three-year expansion program at the Harrah's complex in Cherokee, N.C. The new eatery is also Deen's second collaboration with Harrah's; her company also runs a buffet at the Harrah's Tunica Casino in Mississippi.
