Design community works to locate missing Denver designer.

Shelia Lohmiller, executive director of NEWH, has helped a lot of people in the design industry find jobs, expand their career paths and reach their goals. Her emails always get priority because NEWH’s endeavors speak to what designers need in the real world. When I opened her most recent email, I expected news. Instead, there was a plea to the design community to help find Amy Ahonen, a Denver area interior designer who has been missing since Friday, July 8. She was last seen at her Denver home at 41st St. and Albion St. Her car was found unlocked with her belongings inside on the Highway 6 West corridor at mile marker 264, between Golden, Colo., and I-70. The designer is described as being 5 ft. 4 in. and slender.
