Lima hotel to open in 2012
Hilton Worldwide has announced plans to open its first locale in Peru, in the capital city of Lima. The development, the 230-room new build Hilton Lima Miraflores, is scheduled to open in early 2012. Hilton's franchise partner on the project is Lima-based J.G.J. Proyectistas S.A.C.
“Now is a period of tremendous global growth for the Hilton brand and this partnership will create an exceptional property in Peru's capital city,” said Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “With a population exceeding 9 million people, Lima is a major market for international travel and key to our strong presence in South America.”
Hilton says the hotel will reflect “a sophisticated, modern Peruvian esthetic.” Its accommodations will include 173 king or double-queen rooms, 39 executive rooms, 17 suites, a Presidential suite and executive floors with concierge service. The hotel will also be home to a restaurant, lobby bar and Pisco bar, a sky terrace with a pool, a spa and fitness center, 10 meeting rooms, a business center and a grand ballroom that can accommodate 450 people.
