Hilton Hotels Corp. announced it has signed a long-term management agreement with JMD Ltd. for its new Doubletree by Hilton hotel in India. The 182-room, new-build hotel is scheduled to open in 2010 in Gurgaon, which is located near New Delhi and home to a variety of multinational companies. The deal marks the first Doubletree by Hilton development deal in India, as well as the first foray by Gurgaon-based commercial/residential/retail developer JMD Ltd. into the hospitality sector.
