Holland America Line (HAL) will add 22 staterooms to the ms Prinsendam during a dry dock stay in early 2010. "The new staterooms will mostly be verandah cabins, which will allow us to create some other very special additions to the ship," said Richard Meadows, HAL's executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs.
The added staterooms will be in the aft part of the ship, allowing for an expansion of the ship's pool deck and the addition of sea-view bar. Eighteen of new staterooms will feature verandahs, while the remaining four will be standard inside staterooms. With the addition, guest capacity of the ship will increase from 793 to 837.
