Qatar locale to open in 2015
The Rezidor Hotel Group is teaming with the Al Jassim Group to open the Hotel Missoni Doha. The luxury lifestyle hotel will be designed by Rosita Missoni and will feature about 200 rooms and 70 serviced apartments. It is scheduled to open in late 2015.
“Qatar benefits from very healthy economic conditions. Its people are receptive toward a new kind of luxury and lifestyle, and our Hotel Missoni flagship will be a perfect addition to Doha’s rising market,” said Kurt Ritter, Rezidor’s president and ceo.
The Hotel Missoni brand is a joint venture between Rezidor and Missoni, a high-profile Italian fashion house. There are currently two Hotel Missonis in operation—in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Kuwait—and the partners are also working on locales in Brazil (opening 2013), Turkey (2014), and Oman and Mauritius (2014).
