Boutique hotel has 116 studios and suites
Hyatt 48 Lex has opened on Lexington Avenue in New York. The 116-key boutique hotel was designed by architect Nobutaka Ashihara with interior design by Paul Vega and Vennie Lau of VLDG.
“We have taken inspiration from the best of New York and brought it to life in the design, style and service,” says general manager Mark Wagner. The design of the studios and suites features a gray color palette with original artwork, woven carpets, custom duvets and tables made by a Brooklyn woodworker.
Other amenities include the Lexicon Lounge, which overlooks the hotel's green roof and landscaped terraces; the 100-seat Lexington Brass restaurant; meeting rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and Herman Miller chairs; a business workstation and a fitness center. The hotel will also unveil two penthouse suites this fall.
