WD Partners (Dublin, Ohio), a design and development firm for stores and restaurants, announced the following promotions in its design & brand group: Bob Welty, to executive director; Allison Westrick and Eric Daniel, to executive creative director; Kimberly Orr, Joel Limes, Brian Bucher and Chad Niehaus, to creative director.
Martin Professional A/S (Aarhus, Denmark), a commercial lighting firm, has hired Adela Güven, Marianne Kirk and Pernille Rosenkilde as customer care coordinators.
OPENINGS/REMODELINGS AND BRAND NEWS:
The Westin St. Francis on San Francisco's Union Square has completed a two-year, $40 million restoration and renovation. The 105-year-old hotel has 614 guest rooms.
The Hotel Indigo St. Louis Central West End has opened following a $10 million renovation by Roberts Hotels Group of the Bel Air West Motel, which was the city's first motel when it opened in 1958. Two more Hotel Indigo properties are planned for St. Louis - one in University City that is slated to open in 2011, and other in the downtown convention district that will debut in 2012.
The Rezidor Hotel Group will open the Radisson Royal Hotel in Moscow late this year. The 507-room property, currently known as the Hotel Ukraina, is undergoing an extensive renovation.
CetraRuddy Inc.'s Hospitality Group and Enrique Norten's TEN Arquitectos have collaborated to design CassaNY, a 50-story independent hotel/condominium tower that's slated to open on West 45th Street in Manhattan in summer 2010.
The former Vilamoura Beach Hotel will reopen as the first Crowne Plaza in Portugal in early 2010. The changeover at the 327-room property stems from a franchise agreement between InterContinental Hotels Group and Grupo Marope, a Portuguese property and hotel owning company.
Radisson Hotels & Resorts has opened a Radisson Hotel in Baton Rouge, La. The 132-room property, formerly a Red Lion hotel, was converted to the Radisson brand after undergoing an $8.5 million renovation.
Goosewing Hotels & Resorts has reopened The Stone House resort in Little Compton, R.I., after an extensive renovation/restoration.
A 79-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson has opened in Bradenton, Fla.
The Spotlight 29 Casino (Coachella, Calif.) has finished the first phase of a remodel that includes a new entrance from its parking garage. The second phase of the upgrade involves expanding the casino's poker room and adding a player lounge and high-limit gaming area.

Global Hyatt Corp. has changed its name to Hyatt Hotels Corp. "The name Hyatt Hotels Corp. leads with our brand and captures the company's core business," said Mark Hoplamazian, the company's president and ceo.
Jasper Group (Jasper, Ind.), a wood furniture manufacturer, is celebrating its 80th anniversary and has issued a commemorative book on its history.

The Chartres Lodging Group LLC (San Francisco) received the Global M&A Network's "Real Estate, Lodging and Services Turnaround of the Year" award for its 2008 acquisition and ongoing repositioning of the five-property Adam's Mark hotel portfolio.
