Hotel is company’s sixth locale in India
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has opened the Hyatt Regency Pune, the first upper upscale deluxe hotel and residences complex in that fast-growing city in western India. The property has 222 guest rooms and suites, along with 84 serviced apartments that are scheduled to open in 2011
The hotel, whose exterior is clad in Rajasthani stone, houses two restaurants, a bar, a lounge, a gourmet store, a business center, a Hyatt Pure spa and fitness center, and banquet/wedding/conference facilities. The hotel's open-plan public spaces have been divided into smaller, more intimate areas by the hotel's interior designers, Robert Bilkey and Oscar Llinas, of BLD USA.
Hyatt says the hotel will cater to leisure and business travelers visiting Pune, which is one of the country's information technology, automotive and manufacturing hubs. The Pune property is Hyatt Hotels & Resorts' sixth locale in India, and it has two others in its development pipeline—in Chennai and Goa.
