320-room InterContinental locale to open in 2014

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) will open its third InterContinental hotel in Beijing in 2014. IHG has signed an agreement with Beijing Topwin Real Estate Development Co. Ltd. to open the 320-room InterContinental Beijing City Center, adjacent to the city's Sanlitun entertainment district.
IHG already operates two other members of the InterContinental flag in the Chinese capital -- the InterContinental Beijing Financial Street and InterContinental Beijing Beichen .
“One of the world's key cities, Beijing will continue to attract large numbers of business and leisure travelers from home and abroad,” said Keith Barr, managing director of IHG Greater China. "We're continuing to target growth opportunities in high potential markets like China."
There are currently 14 InterContinental hotels in greater China, with an additional 17 being developed, including seven slated to open this year.
