The superstructure of Norwegian Cruise Line's 4,200-passenger Norwegian Epic is now complete, and the vessel has been floated out of dry-dock to an outfitting dock where work on its interior spaces has begun. The 19-deck ship, currently under construction at STX Europe in St. Nazaire, France, is slated to set sail in mid 2010.
"With her focus on entertainment, wide range of accommodations and 20 dining options, the Epic has created a lot of excitement and anticipation in the marketplace," said ceo Kevin Sheehan. "We are looking forward to her delivery next summer."
The company provided the update on the Epic in its second quarter earnings release. For that period, NCL reported a net income of $15.4 million on revenue of $478.4 million.
