Quezon City locale the first of up to 20 locales planned for that country
The Johnny Rockets hamburger chain has opened its first outlet in Asia, in Quezon City, the Philippines. The 2,240 square-foot restaurant is in the Eastwood City Mall, a mixed use center, and is the first of up to 20 Johnny Rockets planned for the Philippines.
The company is also eyeing other Asian locales. “We have begun talks to develop restaurants in South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and mainland China,” Steve Devine, senior vice president of international development.
Johnny Rockets currently has about 280 corporate and franchise-owned restaurants in 29 states and 11 countries.
