Luxury locale to be modeled after ancient water palace

Jumeirah Group has signed a management agreement with PT Asia Pasifik Properti to operate a luxury resort on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The Jumeirah Bali is slated to open in 2015 on the southern tip of Bali’s exclusive Jimbaran District.

The resort will consist of 80 hotel suites and 25 private villas modeled after an ancient Javanese-Hindu water palace. The destination will also be home to three restaurants, a Talise Spa and a cliff-top wedding venue.

“We are delighted to bring the Jumeirah 'Stay Different' experience to Bali,” said Gerald Lawless, executive chairman of Jumeirah Group, a unit of Dubai Holding. “Our guests will enjoy the exclusive and pristine beachfront location as well as the traditional Balinese ambiance of the resort.”

Jumeirah, which currently has one other hotel open in Asia—the Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel, Shanghai—is developing five luxury additional luxury hotels in China, along with another in Thailand.
