Langham Hotels International plans to open a luxury hotel at Beijing's Capital Airport that it boasts will be the envy of guests staying at rival city-center hotels. The 373-key Langham Place hotel, slated to open next month, will feature loft-style suites and a 24-hour bar/internet hub.
“We are not just creating a convenient stopover hotel but one of the most fun places to be in the capital of the world's largest nation.” said General Manager Mark Francis. “We aim to make staying at the airport in Beijing an exciting thing to do.”
To help make good on that goal, the new hotel will house a variety of clubs, restaurants and lounges, including the two-level Club L lounge; Portal-Work & Play, a 24-hour bar and internet hub; Ming Court and The Place, a pair of elegant restaurants; and Fuel, a nightclub featuring live music, DJs and big screens TVs. Slated to open next year is a Tokoro-Robatayaki & Bar.
The property's guest rooms and suites will range between 500 sq. ft. and 3,200 sq. ft., and will feature Langham's signature Dream Big Beds, iPod docking stations, flat-panel TVs and DVD/CD players. The rooms' marble bathrooms will house oversized baths with separate walk-in rain showers.
