Host Hotels & Resorts announced that Jim Risoleo will assume a new role as executive vice president and managing director Europe. Risoleo has served as executive vice president-chief investment officer since 2000.
Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group hired Tom Pennison as chief financial officer. Pennison’s experience includes a 12-year stint with Ruth's Hospitality Group, formally known as Ruth's Chris Steak House

Starwood Hotels & Resorts opened the Le Méridien Koh Samui Resort & Spa in Thailand. The resort includes 77 villas and suites.
Rezidor Hotel Group has opened the 218-key Radisson Blu East Midlands hotel in England. The company also plans to open the 150-key Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam Schiphol in the third quarter of 2012.
Chef Emeril Lagasse plans to open e2 Emeril's Eatery at Levine Center for the Artsin Charlotte, N.C., early next year.
KSL Resorts completed a $50 million redesign of the 474-key La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The renovation also introduced an updated spa concept and the adult only Edge pool and cocktails venue.
AMResorts has opened the adults-only, 235-key Secrets Marquis Los Cabos in Mexico.
The 203-key Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area has completed a renovation and redesign of its lobby, reception desk, lounge, restaurant and guest rooms.
Tossed, New York's original fast-casual gourmet salad restaurant, signed a 20-store franchise development agreement with real estate and franchise company Bolla Corp. The deal will expand Tossed throughout the New York metropolitan area
LIG Assets Inc. has opened Aquadora, a new restaurant and lounge in Dallas. The 6,052-sq.-ft. restaurant serves seafood and contemporary American cuisine.
MANAGEMENT CONTRACTS/ACQUISITIONS
JHM Interstate Hotels India, a joint venture management company between Interstate and JHM Hotels, has signed a contract to manage the
Ramada Hotel in Alleppey, Kerala, India. The 120-room hotel will open in 2012.
An affiliate of Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group has acquired the majority stake of the 291-key W Atlanta Buckhead. Already a minority owner of the hotel, Noble also completed a long-term loan modification as part of the transaction. Terms were not disclosed.
Pinnacle Entertainment signed definitive agreements to sell its Boomtown Reno casino-resort operations to M1 Gaming Reno LLC and SJP Reno Property LLC for approximately $12.9 million. Pinnacle also granted the buyers a one year option to purchase membership interest in the current gaming licensee, PNK (Reno) LLC, and the additional land adjacent to Boomtown Reno for $3.8 million.
